I began doing make-up at the age of 12, by taking pictures out of magazines and trying to copy them.  When my band instructor suggested that I go to cosmetology school, I didn't even know what the word meant.  He must have seen my artistic ability even then. Upon entering cosmetology school, I knew that I didn't want to "do hair", but there was something about the class that was fascinating to me.

One day, while looking at a movie in class, I saw what I wanted to do... I wanted to be a chromotologist (one who understands color).  A specialist in hair color.  While working in a salon as a color technician, I continued my education.

Jameel Products was an idea formulated several years ago, and was put into actuality in 1983.  Through my years of using various well known make-up products such as Max Factor, Fashion Fair, and others, customers would always request the name of the products used, and I would make lists so the clients could purchase the products at the department store.  This was a very frustrating experience.

I soon found that most cosmetic companies purchase their make-up from two major manufacturers. The product is packaged and labeled for the companies that purchase large quantities.

I am also able to purchase these same quality products from the manufacturers, combining products to create the perfect colors for every skin tone.  My products enhance the fairest complexion tones to the deepest hue.
